Anonymous asked: I am 20 years old. No guy has ever really wanted me. They always look at my friends or don't even look at me. When I speak to a guy it never works out. I remember what God says but I just don't see how anyone could want me. I have problems with friends also. I am friendly though or at least I use to be. Now all the rejection is sucking the life out of me. I just don't know what to so with my life. I know I must wait but dealing with this plus feelings of self hate makes the wait so unbearable.

Hey Love

As I was reading this, the thought that kept pressing and pressing is “God is keeping you from them, He’s setting you apart”. Both guys and friends. There’s a time in one’s life He does that. He has done both for me more than once, and it always works out for a greater purpose. Keep faith even when it’s hard. Be you, be loving, be Christ - like.  As a time as this. Have hope that it will all work out for those who love the Lord. Have joy in all things.

James 1:2-3 Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy.  For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.

Proverbs 10:28 The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked are all in vain.

Rest in the thought that Isiah 53:3 He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

John 15:18 If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first

He knows how you feel. He sympathizes with you. He endured this rejection that you may be accepted. you’re accepted! That’s the only acceptance you’ll ever need, and is worth having. And the great thing is, you don’t have to fight for it. You have always been accepted, already is, and will always be. He’s the best friend for life and beyond
